We’ve heard of rape cases before and we’ve also heard of victims who’ve been pressurised to keep shut about it. But here’s a never-heard-before case.
Two school girls, in Bareilly, allegedly filmed their friend getting raped and posted the video online. This incident comes as a shock to the parents because the girls are good friends of their daughter and thus they never saw it coming. The 16-year-old victim was so terrified after the incident that she went into depression and refused to reveal the details to anyone. The incident occurred on December 18th when the parents were away and the girl was alone at home. She was then joined by her girl friends and another unknown youth.
The father of the victim has filed a complaint at the Shergarh police station and the girls have been taken under custody while the youth who committed the crime is on the run.
Apparently the three locked the room from inside while the victim was raped at gunpoint. The two girls who were present were filming the incident and later uploaded it online. The girls were the victim’s friends, who lived in the same locality.
The youth who is identified as a boy named Aman, apparently pulled out a country-made pistol and raped the girl. They left the spot soon, after leaving the victim traumatized.
Upendra Singh, inspector, Shergarh police station, said, “She went into a state of depression and refused to disclose the incident to her parents.”
The video of the ghastly act went viral on the Internet and that’s how the girl’s family came across it.
Singh added, “We have filed a case under section 450 (trespass in order to commit offence, punishable with imprisonment for life), section 452 (trespass, assault, wrongful restraint) section 376 (rape), section 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC and also section 4 of the POCSO Act along with section 66 A of the IT Act. The two girls have been arrested and are being questioned for their role in the incident. They will be produced before the magistrate on Sunday. A hunt is on to nab Aman.”
