Renu Lalwani, a 32-year-old woman from South Delhi, was arrested by the Delhi police today on charges of molesting a man. According to reports, the woman forcibly tried to have sex with an autorickshaw driver. The driver, Umesh Prasad, 41, alleged that Renu, along with her friend, hired his autorickshaw yesterday afternoon and allegedly invited him in to her flat, in Arjun Nagar, on the pretext of paying him for the ride. After offering him water to drink, Renu suddenly locked the doors from inside and sought sexual favours from the driver, which he denied, said the police.
The Inspector at Safdarjung Enclave police station, Vishuddhanand Jha told IANS, “The woman then offered him (driver) wine, which he again refused to take. Frustrated, she forced herself on him, tore his clothes and kissed him while her roommate filmed the whole incident.” Police officials have also found four badges and driving licenses of auto drivers from Renu’s residence. They believe that the two women might have trapped other drivers, similarly.
