Kitchen islands can work as a cook-and-serve place.

When you have the luxury of space in your kitchen, you should definitely opt for a kitchen island. This feature apparently has become popular one among those who have large kitchens, thanks to its multiple uses — the kitchen island can be a place of storage, a place to cook, and also a place to sit down and eat your meals.

These designs work for open kitchens, especially if you have a dining room attached, but it can also work for other kitchens.

Many cooks
In our country where the concept of joint families still exists, this kind of kitchen works best because you can have many people working at different stations at one time. The gas stove or induction when placed on the island in the centre can be easily accessed by everyone from all the sides. The generous area allows two or even three people to cook together in the same time.

Quick meals
With an island kitchen, you can completely do away with a separate dining area because the island itself can work as the place to sit down and eat.

Cook and eat
Kitchen islands can serve a lot of functions — you could use it as a dining area, or a work area or as a cook-and-serve place that has a hob along with seating or as a place to chop and cook. With modular kitchens, it just gets as creative as you want to be.
