Kate Winslet is one beautiful woman who has proved her mettle from the very beginning. This fine actress has always voiced her opinions about how she hates retouching and being airbrushed. She loves her face and body, the way it is. And to make it further clear to the brands, the actress who recently signed a contract with a leading make up company added a ‘no retouching’ clause in it.
In the past the actress has been hurt by many magazines. Back in 2003, the actress was heavily airbrushed on the cover of GQ magazine. The actress went on record and said to Hello magazine, “The retouching is excessive. I do not look like that and more importantly I don’t desire to look like that. I actually have a Polaroid that the photographer gave me on the day of the shoot… I can tell you they’ve reduced the size of my legs by about a third. For my money it looks pretty good the way it was taken.”
It was repeated again in 2013, when Vogue featured the actress on its cover and she was airbrushed so much that she was hardly recognisable.
So Kate Winslet or as we will remember her always, the Rose of Titanic doesn’t want to look like anyone else but herself, in every ad and every magazine cover.
The contract is just the beginning and we think the actress truly deserves an applause.
