With the internet dictating our lives, it is no surprise that Google has become our best friend. After all it has answers to all the possible questions you can have. Try Googling how to be my boss’s favourite or make good food or simply how to kiss and you are likely to get a long list of answers. While 2014 has been full of important events that overtook our lives like the general elections or India’s mission to mars, Magalayaan there are several other things that Indians Googled that made it to the top list. Take a look.

IRCTC: The Indian railway’s online portal, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) topped the search list. Well looks like Indians travelled a whole lot this year and given the fact that IRCT doesn’t really work 101 times out of 100, they also had a whole lot of time and patience this year.

Flipkart: Flipkart takes the second position in this search. Well considering all the time and money we put into online shopping we really aren’t surprised. However Flipkart can attribute this top position to their #BigBillionDay sale fiasco which ended up with people receiving stones instead of phones.

SBI Online: State Bank of India’s online portal was the third most searched site taking banking in India to a totally different level. We are guessing that the reason for the spot in the top 10 list was the SBI clerk online exam that went viral promising jobs to multiple candidates.
