Pain comes in all form; physical and emotional are the ones that affect us and leave behind the deepest scars. We’ve all had ups and downs, bad days and horrible ones too. And though we’d like to believe that in the end, it all sorts out, sometimes it doesn’t. It takes an end to really end it. Suicide – the easier way out, the one-time pass to freedom from it all, convenient option right?
No wonder so many have considered it. According to the data released by National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) as many as 1.31 lakh persons committed suicide across India in 2014. How traumatic could their lives have been that ending it seemed like the only way out? But who are we to sympathize or judge, haven’t we all had that sinking feeling, that void gloom at some point?
But what if suicide wasn’t the solution? What if this one-way pass to freedom turned into a caged nightmare?
Not sure what we’re talking about? Here’s a short film that may possibly change your views on suicide.
This World Suicide Prevention Day, we urge you to consider that pain can be ended without ending your life. You just need to have the strength to find a better solution. Seek help.
