Running a business like one is definitely not a piece of cake. Balancing work and home is always a task for any woman and being in a creative field like this; we could not stop but wonder how Shibani strikes a balance.

Here’s a sneak-peak into the life of entrepreneur Shibani Jain.

Shibani rises early that gives her some ‘me time’ to relax and enjoy the sunrise. She begins her day by sipping a hot cup of tea to have a fresh start of the day. Her breakfast contains muesli, egg whites, and sandwiches as she enjoys healthy food.

After a delicious and healthy breakfast, Shibani practices tarot card reading before leaving for work. She reads her tarot cards and marks her everyday happenings as at the end of the day, she tries to reflect and connect the happening with her tarot card readings.

Shibani is all set to start her day at office. She believes in dressing appropriately to the occasion and not be tacky. She is always presentable at work, as she believes one should be well dressed always, especially in the business of art.

Shibani terms herself as a workaholic and enjoys her work way too much. Her typical day at office is filled with meetings with the workers and assistants about targets, pitching clients and planning tasks for the week.

Apart from meetings, one of the major task for Shibani is to personally choose the artifacts for display. With a bunch full of paintings and art objects coming in every week, Shibani picks out the best ones for her clients.

Shibani who loves art and beauty has an incredible collection of elephant artifacts. The collection has contents from various countries. She collected wood carved elephants from Africa & Malaysia, wooly mammoth bone carved elephants from Alaska, blown glass elephants from Belgium and Switzerland, Sholapith elephants from West Bengal and Metal cast elephants from Italy.

Baaya Design are all about selling the hand-made artifacts to the people who love such art work. Shibani is seen giving an in-depth detail to her client about the artists, designs and material used in the work of art.

It’s time now to keep the profession aside and enjoy some personal time with her favourite people. Once she is back home, her priority remains spending some quality with her kids Saachi and Rajat.

Shibani also gives time to her pet guinea pigs, Magic and Zoyi.  Shibani enjoys their company as they make her happy and playing with them de-stress her.

Being the owner of a business like Baaya Design, there are many points of pressure. She feels fitness is equally important to enjoy a healthy lifestyle. Every day at 7 pm, Shibani makes a point to go for a long walk and do light exercise to calm herself. More than being slim, she believes in feeling fit. Her dinner is set at 8:15 as she feels, it’s one way to end the day at a healthy note.
