The brainchild of our Union Cabinet Minister for Women and Child development, Maneka Gandhi, the #100Women initiative is an awe-inspiring campaign to laud the efforts of women, who have contributed towards the betterment of the society and the community.

For all women who have worked hard and broken barriers in various male-dominated fields like education, medicine, law and science to make a difference in society and change lives, this is an opportunity of a lifetime.

The best part of the campaign? People like us nominate women, who we think have made a difference in their community. Nominations for this contest are open till September 30, 2015, which will then go through a voting process for the best 200 entries. The final result will be a list of the top #100 Indian women, who will be felicitated for their work.

Maneka Gandhi, a strong advocate of women’s issues has appealed to the people to nominate as many inspiring Indian women as possible, who will finally be recognised for their efforts.

This acknowledgement aims to boost the efforts of Indian women, who are creating their own niche and making a mark in our predominantly male-dominated country.
