Staying away from your boyfriend during the lockdown can be hard. We get it. 40+ days and counting without meeting, touching, hugging, kissing, sex-ing--it can take a toll on you. We get it alright! Add to that, the pressure of turning all communication virtual. From taking work calls to dealing with the family and then this, it can all get very tough. That’s why we’re here to relate AND relate hard, bohot hard.
We’re talking about fights. We’re already a few bad fights in with our families, chances are, there are a few major ones that have happened with the boyfriend as well. Mostly they’re an outcome of all the pent-up frustration that you’ve been harbouring, but a few might be the recurring ones you’re used to as a couple. Look closely though. If y’all are fighting this fight from before and things are getting heated up now, perhaps the lockdown isn’t the justification you’re looking for.
a)The ‘Where were you’ fight
Everyone is mostly at home right now. Even if they’re elsewhere, there aren’t many excuses that are valid currently. Especially to give to your girlfriend, when she is looking for attention. So when you’re hit with the 2 hours of being MIA, you’ll most likely find yourself bantering with bae about how he doesn’t care. ( it’s not justified though )
b)The ‘Why cant you come on video’ fight
All communication is now through intense video calls. Be it for work or for play. BUTTT, bae doesn’t know that you’re sitting with 3596kgs of oil in your tied up hair and a haldi facepack. So how about we schedule this later?
c)The ‘Why did you watch it without me’ fight
Since you cannot physically stop them from watching the next Netflix episode, you’ll do it by throwing a temper tantrum and being passive aggressive for half a day. Sound about right?
d)The ‘I’m just frustrated’ fight
This fight can be triggered by anything–dry replies, wrong tone (wrong but you know what we’re referring to), anything but it always leads to the worst fights because inherently, either of you are just super, effing frustrated. That’s all. Be careful of these though, they have a chance of becoming personal and super, super angry.
e)The ‘I’m tired of fighting’ fight
You’re basically fighting because you don’t want to continue fighting and that’s just the biggest personal mindfuck you can imagine during the lockdown.
