Growing up without the internet meant that all we learnt about sex came through roundabout methods: The older cousin, magazines like Cosmopolitan and Playboy, random Biology and health books, and romance novels.
So, all you kids out there who are just one Google search away from all the information you could ever want, be thankful. However, the internet can only help with so much. Nothing trumps real life experiences. So, while Google can tell us what sex is, it takes a bit more to figure out the different kinds of sex out there.
Confused? Well, sex is different with different men. People are unique so sex with them is bound to also be unique. However, there are certain kinds of sex that you’ll come across if you’ve played the field.
1. Fuck Buddy
A fuck buddy or a friend with benefits (FWB) is a friend you sleep with. There are no romantic feelings here but there is a lot of goodwill. You’re friends after all. You guys do all the things you’d do with a normal friend–hang out, get a drink, watch movies… But you’re not dating. An FWB is great provided neither of you “catch” feelings. Many times, FWBs end up becoming regular friends once they’re done sleeping with each other.
2. Base Erotic Sex
Unlike FWBs, this relationship is based only on sex. Just pure, erotic sex. Nothing else. You meet, bang, and then you go your separate ways. You’re not friends, you’re not lovers, you’re just banging.
There’s nothing wrong with this kind of sex. It’s great. It just doesn’t last very long. It usually evolves into an FWB relationship. Otherwise, it just ends with no hard feelings. Just fond memories of great sex.
3. Mrs Robinson
Mrs Robinson refers to a song by Simon & Garfunkel, which was adapted for the 1967 movie The Graduate. The film was about an older woman who pursues a relationship with a younger man who is just a college graduate.
This kind of sex is when your partner is significantly older, more mature, and definitely more experienced. It’s experimental because you’re discovering new things with a partner who guides you through it. To say that it is exciting is an understatement. You’re almost like a creation of your older partner’s. He’ll take you through everything step-by-step in the most patient manner.
4. Lovemaking
This is the ultimate. You only make love with someone you really love. You might even see them as your soulmate. Lovemaking usually involves emotion and feeling. But, this is the man you want to spend your life with so it won’t only be limited to deep emotional lovemaking. You’ll also have erotic sex with them, experimental sex where you try new things, and even lazy sex when you’re both too tired from a day of work. Once you get here, you wouldn’t like to be anywhere else.
