Shahid Kapoor is busy promoting his new film Jersey, which released in the theatres on April 14. The film is a Hindi remake of the 2019 Telugu film of the same name and is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. It also has Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur in the lead roles.
And during one of Shahid’s recent interviews, he opens up about his spending habits and why he needs to take Mira Rajput’s permission before spending.

In a latest interview with Curly Times, when asked about his spending habits, Shahid said,“Pehle all out ho jata tha main magar ab nahi (earlier, I used to spend all my money but not now). I am a family man now, mere bachhe hain, biwi hai (I have a wife and kids). Permission leni padti hai, sochna padta hai (I have to take permission and think about it before spending money).”
He further added, “I didn’t take her permission for my boys trip though, that’s my right. I think every guy deserves a boys’ trip once in a while.”
Recently, he bought a Mercedes-Maybach S580 that is worth around ₹2.79 crore and as per GQ India report, he also has a series of cars, including Jaguar XKR – S, Range Rover Vogue, Mercedes – AMG S400, Porsche Cayenne GTS, and more.

As per latest reports of Pinkvilla, Shahid charged a whopping Rs. 25 crores for Jersey after a pay out. Previously, it was a Rs. 33 crores deal but as the movie business suffered due to the pandemic, he agreed to take a pay cut of Rs. 8 crores.
In the film, he plays Arjun Talwar, a talented but failed cricketer, who quit cricket at the age of 26 but decided to return after 10 years driven by the desire to represent the Indian cricket team. And also fulfil his son’s wish for getting a jersey as a gift.
