Paediatric nurse Lalita D’Silva has been a nurse and caregiver for many star kids. Nurse Lalita largely gained recognition after she started caring for Kareena and Saif’s eldest son—Taimur Ali Khan. She has been a caregiver to both Taimur and Jehangir as well as Ram Charan-Upasana’s daughter Klin Kaara. But her first star kid was Anant Ambani.

Lalita D’Silva, the paediatric nurse who cared for Taimur and Jeh, shared insights into Saif Ali Khan’s parenting style. She said that Saif made it clear that his children should be raised normally so that they can grow up with a balanced perspective and grounded personalities without getting swept up in celebrity daze.
She said, “Saif sir made it clear that he wanted his kids to be raised just like any other children. He emphasised, ‘I raised my two older kids normally, and I want the same for Jeh and Taimur.’”

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla’s Hindi Rush, Nurse Lalita refuted preconceived notions about celebrities largely depending on their help for raising their children. She said that Kareena Kapoor Khan ensures to spend quality time with both her kids.
Nurse Lalita even takes Taimur and Jeh to Kareena’s shoots where they would have lunch together. She said that whenever Kareena is shooting in Mumbai, she calls her children on the sets to spend time with them.

Nurse Lalita D’Silva also spoke about her immense pressure of protecting and concealing Taimur Ali Khan’s face from the paparazziwhen he was younger. Kareena and Saif instructed her to do so.
During that time, she gained recognition as ‘Taimur’s Nanny’ due to the paps—a term she does not prefer. She clarified that she is a paediatric nurse and not a nanny. She even got upset when the paps started calling her ‘Taimur’s Nanny’.
She said, “Pehle Tata, Birla, sabke yahan paediatric nurse hoti thi aur nanny, maid hoti thi. I’m not a nanny, I’m a paediatric nurse and prefer to be called that.”
4. “No separate food for the staff”

Nurse Lalita also shared that Kareena and Saif established the practice of dining together right from the start. She said that they did not have separate food made for the support staff and that everyone would eat what the celebrity family would eat. There would be no constraints in the quality of the ingredients either.
5. Ram Charan Sir and Upasana ma’am are hands-on parents

The nurse to star kids is also a caregiver to Ram Charan and Upasana Upasana Konidela ‘s daughter Klin Kaara. She said that they are very warm and welcoming as well as hands-on parents, “From the Ambani family to the Konidela family, they’re all the same in their warmth and hospitality.”
She even expressed admiration for their kindness and humility. She said that if she needs to rest, Upasana takes care of her child.
She said, “Everything about the family is very good. If I need to rest, Upasana madam takes care of the child. Currently, they are in London, and Ram Charan Sir and Upasana Ma’amare hands-on parents, managing everything themselves.”
6. Anant Ambani’s love for animals

For those who don’t know, Nurse Lalita has been in this profession for almost three decades. She started out in 1996 after getting hired by the Ambani Family to take care of Anant Ambani. She said he harboured love for animals since he was a child and never wanted any materialistic gifts.
She said, “He will never ask for a gift. He never wanted a materialistic gift. He just says ‘Give me money, I will buy an animal. I save animals’.”
7. Anant Ambani’s long-standing spirituality

Nurse Lalita also shared that Anant Ambani has always been a spiritual person. She said that when he was younger, he got a small temple for his table and would do puja every day.
“One day he told Kokilamami (Kokilaben Ambani) that he wanted a mandir on his study table. So she got him a mandir. He then needed a lamp and flowers. So we got him a lamp and flowers. He then started puja on his study table. He used to do puja daily. Anant has been spiritual. The entire family is spiritual,” she told Hindi Rush.
She expressed happiness over being invited to Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding. She even shared pictures on her social media page. She also added that all of her three children—Isha, Akash and Anant—are warm and welcoming toward her.
