After a gap of 12 years, popular television actress Sara Khan and her ex-husband Ali Merchant are sharing screen space in Kangana Ranaut’s controversial reality show Lock Upp. They were last seen together in 2010 when the duo tied the knot on Bigg Boss Season 4.
Sara Khan tells Ali Merchant not to talk about the past

Going by the latest promo of the show, Sara clearly seems to be upset and uncomfortable with her ex-husband’s presence on the show. Sara told Ali not to bring up the past.
Ali said, “Barah saal ho gaye. I have a lot of respect for you because you are my ex.” To this, Sara responds, “If you don’t talk about outside, it will be better. So let’s just start from here, where we are and let’s just stop from where we ended. And let’s not get into what happened with me or what happened with you.”

Ali further added that he’s not on the show for her: “Main aisa insaan nahi hun jo kisi ko gira ke apne ko uper le aaun. Aisa matt socho ki main tumhari wajah se yahan aaya hun. Mujhe farak nahi padta.”

Later, during a conversation with fellow contestant Karanvir Bohra, Sara shared what exactly went wrong and the reason behind their split.
Sara said, “He was the first guy in my life. I fell for him and then we started dating. At one point of time, we had a lot of differences. I was cheated on a lot of times. I used to forgive, forget and get back. At one point, I decided I am just going to move ahead in life. I was 17 when I fell for him. And it is difficult to forget someone when you fall for them at that age.”
Sharing why she decided to get married on Bigg Boss and how she regrets it, she said, “Then I went to Bigg Boss. He entered without my knowledge. He started manipulating me saying I am not playing the game well. My bond with Ashmeet is seen in a wrong way. He convinced me I am looking like a fool outside. He told me that if we get married in the house, it will all be fine. I thought if that’s what it takes then let’s do it. I was very stupid. We came out of the house and he again started cheating on me. Not one, but several women. I thought kahin toh rukega. Our marriage was not legal and we broke up. I had relationships after him. He cheated on me with one of Saisha’s friend. Had I been in his position, I wouldn’t have come here knowing I am there.”
