A video shot by the paparazzi shows Sunny walking down the stairs with her three kids—Nisha, Noah and Asher. In the video, Sunny is seen holding only Noah and Asher’s hands while Nisha gets down the stairs on her own.

The video led netizens to speculate that Sunny doesn’t pay attention to Nisha because she’s an adopted child. Comments on the post say, “I believe she has adopted her daughter only for publicity”, “Who knows whether she treats her nicely at home or not?”, and so on.

In an interview with BollywoodLife, her husband Daniel Weber came out in her support and said, “Oh my god, this is absurd, I don’t even want to talk about it. I really don’t care about what people think. My sons are three years old and they run around as wild animals do in the park, while my daughter is six and she knows how to walk. She is the princess of my house. It’s absurd that people have such thinking.”

Questioning motherhood just reflects their mindset

The comments read extremely mean and distasteful. Questioning motherhood on the basis of whether she holds her children’s hands in public or not just reflects the mindset of people which, honestly, is never going to change. Netizens love to judge people for their choices.

Earlier, recalling how Nisha became a part of their family, Sunny wrote a heartfelt note for her: “3 yrs ago you chose us…us to be your mama and papa…to trust us to take care of you…to show us what real love is…the second I laid eyes on you, I knew you were my daughter. Today I look at you and I see a glimpse of the strong independent woman you will become. After this year I know you will have many questions but I will be there every step of the way while we figure it out together. I love you Nisha and Happy “Gotcha” Day. You are the light in our lives and the reason for all our joy every day!!”
