The caption of the video reads, “Hunarbaaz ke manch par aa rahi hai desh ke pehle pregnant anchors. Apni jeetod mehnat se Bharti badal rahi hai poore desh ki soch ko. Kijiye salaam iss naari ke jazbe ko.”
Talking about her first day at shoot hosting the new reality show Hunarbaaz Desh Ki Shaan, she said, “I have reached the sets. I am a bit scared that I am shooting in this situation. But I am being blessed with a lot of love and surrounded by my team and family. So, there is no need for me to be worried. This is my first day on shoot after being pregnant. I am excited and worried at the same time. You know how when you expect your family to support you, you expect how they would be like, ‘Yes, go. But be careful,’ ‘What if you slip’, ‘What if something hits your baby bump?’, etc. Mine scared me off and sent me with many warnings to be careful on the sets and not get myself hurt. Mothers tend to scare you. But I want to change people’s minds that you have to sit at home just because you are pregnant. I want to change everyone’s thoughts, including my mother’s. I will become India’s first pregnant anchor.”

Earlier, Bharti had also opened up about her fears and how she doesn’t want any complications later. Elaborating on her routine, she told BollywoodLife, “I have started doing yoga every alternate day. I am really very scared of caesarean, I’ve heard it hurts a lot later and I will be a working mother so I don’t want any complications ahead. I have been working out a lot and following all the instructions by my doctor so that I can have a normal delivery. I at least walk for an hour in the morning and do yoga that is instructed by my trainer.”
Bollywood actresses who worked through their pregnancies
Talk about breaking cultural norms during pregnancy and the first name that pops up is Jaya Bachchan, who proved it long ago in the 70s by working during her pregnancy while shooting for Sholay.
Among the 90s generation, we saw reigning actresses like Sridevi, Juhi Chawla and Kajol work through their pregnancies. In recent years, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Lisa Haydon walked the ramp with their baby bump, setting the bar high for working moms.
