Amrita on her struggles to get pregnant

In the vlog, Anmol shares that they discussed having a baby during their honeymoon in Bali. Amrita then revealed how she struggled to get pregnant for a long time.

Bohot time tak uske baad baby nahi hua because basically mujhe fear tha pregnancy ka. I am sharing it for the first time but I had a fear of getting pregnant. The face of pregnancy is very different. Women around me used to tell me that the whole process is natural and all. But a baby is developing in your body and thinking about this caused me discomfort and I had a lot of questions,” she said.

Amrita suggests seeking professional mental help

Amrita also talked about getting an anxiety attack when she was trying to conceive. After that she wasn’t able to sleep for over a month. Amrita also watched Deepika Padukone’s interview where she spoke about her depression phase.

Before wrapping up the episode, Amrita highlighted the need to get professional help if someone is going through a similar phase. She said that she visited a doctor to seek help and came out stronger and healed after that meeting.

Amrita’s personal account shows that it’s not uncommon for women trying to conceive to experience restlessness and a feeling of being on the edge. We need to understand that these are not signs of weakness. So, instead of trying to dismiss or suppress these emotions, trust yourself, talk to your partner and seek help if needed.
