Are men better lovers than women? Are they more committed? Are they more passionate in bed? Are women more dedicated lovers? Blah, blah, blah. Well, that’s a never-ending debate where each claims to be better than the other. Now that you’re wondering what made us rack our brains over this on a Friday afternoon, here’s the thing. We came across a tweet that demands an answer to ‘Why do men love more deeply than women?’
@ItsYourEX_, a Twitter user tried to decode how men are better lovers in a series of tweets. Take a look:
1. Men understand that love takes time.
Our reaction: So do women.
2. Men do not base their love on the way a woman makes them feel.
Our reaction: Isn’t love about being with the person who makes you feel special and worthy?
3. Men do not allow romance to dictate their decision-making.
Our reaction: Romance keeps the spark alive.
4. Men understand what love truly is. Romance is not love. Date nights, vacation, trips aren’t expressions of love. They are perks of companionship.
Our reaction: Well, we don’t define them simply as ‘perks’. They are small little joys of companionship and only help to know your partner better. In fact, going on vacation is the best way to figure out how compatible you are.
5. Women take the perks and think they are in love because they are basing it on pseudo actions. To build a foundation of love, you have to first get past the companionship stage. Love should never be based on the perks of the relationship. Once the perks stop, the love stops.
Our reaction: But how is that related to a particular gender? Isn’t that applicable to everyone?
6. Men do not want to create love. They let love be. Love is love. Love isn’t a project. Love isn’t a science. Love isn’t a new revelation.
Our reaction: Love is a life-long project you need to work on! There’s a lot you learn and unlearn in the process and it only helps establish a better and healthier relationship.
7. Love is an unseen force that binds a woman to a man based on character. Women want to fall in love. Men want to be with love.
Our reaction: Ugh! Stop!
To go by these set of reasons, the user seems to be pretty upset and has probably gone through the worst breakup imaginable. However, we don’t agree with the gender biased opinion that aims to establish that women are mean and opportunistic when it comes to love. Love is love, irrespective of gender.
