Bollywood might make the most romantic love stories but once in a while, they create characters who have the worst luck in the world. These are the characters who, despite their dedication and commitment, are faced with the worst circumstances in their personal lives. You know..how you put in everything in a relationship but it still doesn’t work out? It’s brutal.
It is realistic, and if you ask us, these few roles have shown us that Bollywood is capable of looking beyond the lead characters. Their storylines make you believe that sometimes things are just beyond your control. Let it go and accept it.

She was loyal to Murad from day 1. Yet despite everything, he still went and cheated on her. Sure, she forgave his lying ass. However, she didn’t deserve the betrayal one bit.

Deepika Padukone’s character literally witnessed her boyfriend fall in love with her more ‘homely’ room mate. That too, she was the one who was nice enough to give this random Indian girl a roof over her head, food and company. How was she repaid? Through betrayal, of course!
3. Ayan from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Yes there was stalking involved but imagine having to love someone who just doesn’t want to be with you? That’s like a giant snub to your face. Although we are completely against Ayan resurfacing in Alizeh’s life, he just fell in love with the wrong girl and refused to let it go.
4. Meghna From Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na

Meghna was a sweet girl. She might be a little delusional having grown up in a problematic household but then again, that was never her fault. She got broken up with when she least expected it and that was just sad on so many different levels.

Again, imagine accompanying your wife, whom you’ve just married, to her ex-boyfriend whom she cannot get over? Can there be a bigger sacrifice? It takes courage to be this selfless, I mean, come on!
