4 Disappointing Side Effects Of Being In A Relationship And Yes, We've All Had Them

Relationships are all fun and games till you realize you can never speak about the cute guy you passed by in the metro. While we totally admit that dating someone can be a truly wonderful experience, we’d be lying if we didn’t address the tiny factors that come along the way. How in the world did bae watch a new episode and disrespect the pact? Guess we can never truly express the tiny irritants as well as the single folk!

Which of the following disappointments have you experienced and how bad did it feel?

1. Finding a passerby attractive and not being able say anything

No matter how attractive and irresistible you find your partner, there will come a time when you find someone else just kinda cute. It happens to the most loyal of us and there’s no disrespect in admitting that to yourself. Just never consciously do it to your partner because that conversation is probably not going to be pretty. Relationship folks are well aware of this pain!

2. Have your partner eat or watch a movie/show without you

These are the unsaid rules of a relationship and when either partner breaks it, the disappointment is unreal. Also, cue the pettiness. How dare they do something fun without us? Kaun hai woh jisne dobara mudke hume nahi pucha? Who is he?

3. Missing them too much when they’re away

Single people have no one to miss and relationship people are always missing their partners. There’s no in-between because there is a whole, tangible person that you’re thinking about — not a fictitious future person who will be XYZ. It’s a pain to love also, damn.

4. Constantly worrying about them as well

While we love them to bits, taking the stress of an added individual just because you love them is also kinda stressful. Did they eat? Have they reached home? I hope he drives safely — sometimes you’re brain will go, ‘Kyun? Kyun kar raha hoon yeh sab?’ as a reflex thought. Then go back to worrying some more!
