Watch Out Shahid, Mira Is Giving Workout Goals Lifting 40kg Weights In New Pic

If you’re looking for some motivation to drag yourself to the gym, take a look at what Mira Rajput is up to. She shared a picture of herself at the gym, wearing a pink sports bra and printed leggings while lifting 40kg weights and doing squats. In the video, shared by her trainer Yudi Singh, she can be seen expertly doing the squats and he mentioned that she will soon have to graduate to 60kg weights. Shahid, who is one of the fittest men in Bollywood, better watch his back. Pun intended!

A while ago, Mira had shared a picture of her doing Pilates, which gives you great washboard abs, improves your flexibility, and alleviates back pain. 

Squats on the other hand, have other benefits. It helps engage the most amount of muscles in your body. While it is usually associated with lower muscles, if done correctly, it can also engage muscles above the waist. While doing a squat, you’re engaging with your glutes (your butt), the quadriceps (which are the front of your thighs) hamstrings (back of the thighs), calves and groin.  

 The squat that Mira is seen doing is called a back squat which is when one does a squat with a barbell. This helps work the shoulder, upper back and core strength while your lower muscle groups are also engaged. It helps improve the overall flexibility of the body.

Doing squats will not only give you a great butt, but it also comes with many additional benefits.

Squats can be done in the comfort of your own home, and are an easy exercise to do anytime, anywhere. It takes just a couple of minutes each day to really make a difference to your body. Considering there are many variations to the squat, such as jump squat and overhead squat, you won’t be hitting a plateau too soon.

2) You burn a lot of calories

You don’t need to sign up for those HIIT classes; doing squats can seriously burn calories.

3) It strengthens your core

Bending, turning and walking all require a good core, and squats will help improve your core and make these functions easier.
