We all remember the hot gorgeous actress, Sonalli Sehgall from the movie Pyaar Ka Punchnama. Her fitness is something that has been inspiring us. So this World Health Day, we spoke to the sexy and fit Sonnalli Sehgall to share simple and practical tips for every woman to not only stay fit but feel healthy.
What was the idea behind launching a fitness video?
I love fitness. I love being healthy. So when a series was being made on being healthy and fit, I could not refuse to be a part of it. Moreover the work Machine& Blush have done before is incredible. We have seen many videos on fitness but we hardly pay attention to it. It all depends on how you show the fitness module, how much you simplify it for the audience. That’s what Blush has done for the audience which made me interested to.do this video.
Could you share some quick tips on how women can sneak in more water this summer?
There is no substitute for water. I have 5 liters of water everyday but everyone is not like me. I would suggest women to add a twist to their water by adding some fruits that can give you some flavour and add.extra vitamins and minerals. Moreover they look really fancy and would attract you to gulp more water.
How do you curb your cravings?
It’s difficult, especially for a person like me who has a sweet tooth. It starts with finding a substitute. Stick to one cheat day in a week where you can eat your favourite dessert or food. I personally make little desserts at home which are healthy. They don’t contain any sugar. I am also against sugarfree substitutes as they are not good for health. I make a dessert out of cocao powder which is good for your health. It is an antioxidant which helps you stay young, so imagine eating desserts that help you stay young. I mix dates, almond butter and mix this all together. It tastes like chocolate, so it definitely works for me as a substitute for my sweet cravings.
One exercise you love to do?
I love stretching. I feel that the more you stretch the more your body feels light. A little bit of stretch will help you feel light and healthy.
One fitness hack for daily lifestyle.
I think taking steps (stairs) instead of the elevator really helps. It’s like this little health hack that will definitely work in your favour. Moreover for women, I think when you go to the washroom, instead of seating on the seat, squat it. It works.
