Given the ever increasing toll in the number of cases of food poisoning and adulteration, food safety has become an important concern for everybody. ‘Right to Keep Food Safe’ initiative which was launched by Tetra Pak last year is a classic example of actions taken against the floating worries related to food safety. The Campaign was aimed at sensitising mothers across nation and empowering them with the information to make safer and healthier food choices. During the course of the campaign, a nationwide search was introduced to find Safe Food Ambassadors (SFAs) among mothers. As an outcome, 15 mothers were shortlisted and are now spreading the knowledge/ message of food safety.
In the last few months of the initiative, the ambassadors were groomed and equipped with information through several workshops. They were given access to knowledge banks such as Nutrition Quotient course, engaging with renowned nutritionist and Chef, like Vikas Khanna to resolve their queries.
The Safe Food Ambassadors are now spearheading this cause through various online and offline methods such as blogs, social media platforms, parent meetings at schools or in-house gatherings and spreading the message to other mothers that it is there right, to keep food safe.
