Located off Carter Road, the newest luxury dining option in Bandra, The Korner House is a great place to celebrate or just unwind. A beautiful place that perfectly combines a relaxed night out with the mister, here is a place that offers you gourmet meals and also lets you put your hair down and just relax.

The outdoor seating, the huge French windows and yellow lighting inside combine the elegance of Paris with a London café ambience, the European menu offers a delightful mix of salads, pastry, steaks and burgers. Since we had a specially curated menu by the chef (which did not include drinks), we started with a shot of soup (the portion size was review-sized; the actual dish has larger quantity). We need to make a special mention of the roasted pumpkin soup which was just the right touch of creamy and appealing to the palate. The celery prawn soup and the broccoli cream broth were also worth a try but we’d still opt for a repeat of the pumpkin soup.

The salads – pick any – stood out because of the use of homegrown veggies and perfectly cooked meat. We loved the use of chives and thyme in the dishes, both of which tend to leave a pleasant aftertaste. I particularly loved the Caesar salad which had an added serving of fresh kiwi to add a sweet and tangy flavour to the salad – a touch of brilliance on the chef’s part.

While the pastas were quite a treat, we suggest that you focus more on the mains. The cottage cheese steak and the chicken roulade are a must-try. The spices are just right and the well-cooked meat adds to the flavour. Since all the sauces are made by the chef in house, you can expect pleasing palate flavours in all their offerings.

For dessert, we picked Bonaffee pie that blends the flavour of caramelised banana with toffee, the strawberry cheesecake and Tres Leches, which is a milk cake dunked in condensed cream.
