Bigg Boss 14 winner Rubina Dilaik has a lot going for her—she’s won one of the most popular reality shows on television and now she’s making an appearance in a slew of music videos, such as Inder Chahal’s ‘Shah Rukh Khan’. She’s also extremely popular on social media. However, she’s been under a lot of scrutiny over her weight gain and she’s not having any of it.

Rubina has a word for trolls
In a strongly worded statement that she shared on her Twitter handle, she hit back at trolls making fun of her weight gain saying, “Dear well wishers/ PSEUDO FANS , I am observing that my weight gain is bothering you! You are relentlessly sending hate mails and messages , you don’t see my worth if I don’t hire a PR or if I don’t tip paps for spotting … you are threatening to leave fandoms coz I am fat now , I don’t wear good (designer) clothes and I am not working hard to get BIG projects.”

She went on to add, “Well , I am indeed disappointed that, FOR YOU, my physical appearance is far more important than my talent and my commitment to my work. But I have GOOD NEWS for you all…. IT’S MY LIFE and it has phases , and you too are a phase of my life ! PS :- I respect my fans, so don’t call yourself my FAN!”
…And we’re here for it
In the past too Rubina has been candid about her recovery post-COVID-19, and her subsequent weight gain and how she’s accepted it. Frankly, we love how candid she got about weight gain as many of us have experienced weight gain during the pandemic, especially as someone who is in the limelight and uses her platform to promote body positivity.
Women, especially those in the public eye often face body shaming. Not only does it affect their mental health, but constant scrutiny of a woman’s body can cause her to develop unhealthy eating habits. So, always remember, post with kindness.
