Robyn Lawley is not your skinny, size zero model. In fact, the Australian model recently revealed in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, that she had been desperate enough to follow the trend. At 24, this Aussie babe, who stands tall at 6 feet 2 inches, has changed the ballgame by being comfortable with her plus-size body. If there is anything we must learn from Robyn Lawley, it has to be loving our bodies as is.
In an interview on the Ellen Show, Robyn Lawley talks about what it is like to be a plus-size woman, and the fact that she loves her body. She has also raised her voice against the thigh-gap trend in the modelling world. The debate was about skinny models with legs so thin that feet-together, their thighs wouldn’t touch above the knees!
Like any other successful model, even Robyn started young at the age of 16 years. A self-proclaimed foodie who even created a food blog, tried hating her body to fit into the trend of skinny models. Today she says, “I love my body for my hips”, something we have clearly not heard in a long time.
Check out Robyn Lawley’s interview with Ellen DeGeneres about why women should start loving their bodies. Accepting one’s natural size is probably the best thing a woman can do to help herself. True that!
