few moons ago, actress Gul Panag had categorically stated in an interview with a leading English daily that, “Women are their worst enemies.” In the world of films, this, of course, seems to be the ultimate truth. For decades now we’ve seen many Bollywood actresses start out as friends, only to morph into bitter rivals. The gossip mills and magazines thrive on catfights and competition and why wouldn’t they? It makes for a great story. But, time is a thing of beauty. Why? Because it gives humanity a chance to reform and transform, and it seems that the film industry is basking in that glorious change.
Bollywood catfights are now officially a thing of the past. The younger crop of actresses now ascribe to the tenets of forgive and forget and are going all out to regain lost friendships. They are even bonding at parties, saying ‘nice’ things to each other and clicking selfies. Hallelujah! #GirlLove! #WhoRunTheWorld! Actresses can be friends, people. You heard it here first!
1. Deepika Padukone and Kangna Ranaut: The fight for being the number 1 actress is as human and Freudian as it can get. Who doesn’t love being on the top? Much has been written about the catfights between Deepika and Kangna. But hello, have you forgotten that Deepika dedicated her Best Popular Actress award in 2015 to Kangna Ranaut for her performance in Queen. It’s a big, bold step to tell the world that they are all for ‘love’.
2. Anushka Sharma and Sonam Kapoor: They have never worked together and they have never been spotted partying together, but that didn’t stop Anushka from praising Sonam’s performance in the movie,(which movie?).This tweet from Anushka does testify that actresses can be supportive of each other.
Thoroughly enjoyed #DollyKiDoli .Filled wid funny uncanny moments.@sonamakapoor U r super cute & spunky.dulhas are hilarious.All d best guys

3. Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra: It’s an open secret that Priyanka and Kareena don’t see eye to eye, especially after they got into a catfight over screen space, during the filming of Aitraz,. It’s been over a decade now and it looks like their relationship has matured. We say that with confidence because when Kareena was quizzed about Priyanka’s achievements, she said “The way Priyanka has put India out there, and done so well for herself, is amazing. I feel proud of her.” How cool is that?! We believe even Priyanka reciprocated and praised Kareena’s performance in the movie, Ki & Ka.
This film is everything #KiAndKa @arjunk26 #KareenaKapoor and the team! Well done! Can’t wait to c it! #proud https://t.co/0Y6dhzeIzf

4. Kangna Ranaut and Kareena Kapoor: One belongs to a family of film world stalwarts while the other carved her own niche in the industry. They bonded big time and couldn’t stop praising each other’s work. In a recent interview, when Kangna was asked a few questions about Kareena, she said, “Kareena has raised the bar. She is the epitome of a modern woman. From Geet (Jab We Met) to Ki and Ka, she has always set the standards high for all of us. Her character in Ki and Ka is about role reversal and how women are participating in every field in every way. This is a progressive film.”
5. Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone: The media is abuzz with rumors about the awkward equation between Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone. All thanks to Ranbir Kapoor. But the storm seems to have calmed a bit. During the promotions of Fitoor, Katrina was asked about Deepika and Ranbir’s pairing in Tamasha, and she was seemed quite unperturbed, saying, “I don’t have an opinion on the matter. Deepika is a great actress, and will make a great pair with any male actor. She make a great pair with both Ranbir and Ranveer.”
