Got 10 Minutes Only? Here Are 3 Full-Body Exercises You Can Squeeze In

No one is ever too busy for exercise. No, really. You may be lazy, but there is no such thing as not having time because, frankly, it’s less about getting in a 60 minute workout every day, and more about just getting in a workout. It’s the regularity that matters. Yes, even when you have 10 minutes, if you use them wisely, you can get a full body workout! Take your pick out of these three exercises which have multiple benefits:

1. Suryanamaskar

I have a friend who lost 10 kilos in a month simply by doing surya namaskars everyday! Though, I am sure that it took her longer to finish 50 or so rounds that she was doing, hers is an example of how much sun salutations help the body. Surya namaskar has all the benefits of yoga, and weight loss is just one of the. It calms your mind, of course. But, when it comes to the body, it strengthens your back, stretches your hamstrings and glutes, and tones your entire body. It improves your metabolism, and overall digestion; regulates your menstrual cycle; lowers blood sugar level; strengthens your joints and muscles, and keeps anxiety at bay! If this is not convincing enough, then nothing will be!

2. Plank

Planks are excellent for toning your back and core muscles, which include abdominal muscles, chest, and pelvic area. The great thing about planks is that there are enough variations for you to not get bored or end up using the same set of muscles every time. Switch and mix things up. Combine high plank with side plank, dolphin plank with leg raises. Try mountain climbers, or abdominal crunches while you’re at it. Your planks can be as static or as dynamic as you like! Be imaginative.

3. Squats + Lunges

Squats are great not just for that Kim K butt. There are many benefits of this exercise, which anybody can do, anytime! With squats, too, there are many variations, which you can play around with. Try combining it with lunges, and you’re set for the day! The two together provide a great cardio workout, and tone many muscles while you’re at it.

One of the most common myths or blocks that people have against working out is that it needs time. No, it doesn’t. You just need to manage and utilise your time in the best way possible, and if you are a busy bee, these exercises are perfect for you! Happy working out!
