Feel Restless All The Time? Here’s Some Expert Help On Recognising Its Signs & Fighting Jitters

Restlessness is something we all experience on a daily basis. But, on most occasions, we may not be able to recognise the signs of it. One of the signs of anxiety is restlessness. To be more specific, restlessness is not an illness. Rather, it occurs as a result of the constant changes in our surroundings. It might occur as a result of a variety of factors that do not adequately satisfy our emotions. 

So, for example, if you’ve been waiting in line for a long time and it’s taking a little longer, you can become agitated. It’s also known as a behavioural element because it changes depending on the situation. It’s a very fright and flight situation where you’re afraid of certain things that may or may not be in your imagination, and it’s a really mixed bag of feelings.

Take the case of our current Covid situation which has been causing widespread alarm since 2020. People were agitated about the virus because they didn’t know much about it and it was something new to them. 

Most of the time, people are terrified of factors that they do not understand. The same thing happened with Covid. Because everything came to a halt for a time during the epidemic, many people experienced restlessness and worry. To summarise, restlessness is caused by changes in emotions, events and hormone levels.

Since restlessness is not an illness, it can be managed by directing your thoughts to the brighter side of life. We are frequently engrossed in our work and daily routines, which may contribute to the development of restlessness. 

You can opt to redirect your concentration by doing things that you enjoy. Play games, listen to music, dance to tunes, go on a date, spend time with friends or family, and do other activities that cause dopamine to be released. And if it affects you to a significant degree, you should always see a psychiatrist and follow up with them for any medication or other needs.
