Well, eating right is the key, but if biting into healthy food isn’t your forte, here are five unique, nutritionist-approved smoothie combinations that will certainly tempt you into trying them. 1. Avocado And Berry Smoothie

For healthy hair

 

Avocado contains Niacin (B3) that helps transform carbohydrates into energy. Niacin also helps to maintain the structure of the blood cells and improves blood circulation to the scalp, bringing more oxygen and nutrients to the hair follicles. Walnuts on the other hand, are an excellent ingredient for hair growth as it’s packed with omega 3 fatty acids, vitamin E, Zinc and Biotin (Vitamin B7).

 

Avocado Berry smoothie

 

Ingredients:

 

1/2 ripe avocado
2 cups spinach
1 cup organic raspberries
1 cup organic strawberries
¼ cup walnuts
1 tablespoon flax seed
1 cup water

 

Method:

Add all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Drink up!

2. Coconut Water Beauty Smoothie

For hydrated skin

 

Coconut water is a power house of important electrolytes while the carrots, strawberries, oranges and mangoes contain antioxidants and vitamins which are beneficial for the skin. This drink consists of the same vitamins and nutrients you can find in some of the most sought-after skin products.

Ingredients:

 

1 cup coconut water
½ cup chopped carrots
½ cup strawberries
1 orange
½ cup chopped mangoes

 

Method:

 

Place all ingredients into a blender, pour into a glass of your choice and drink your way to the skin of your dreams.

3. Banana-Strawberry Smoothie

For lustrous hair

 

This smoothie is great for beautiful hair and skin as it’s packed with vitamins, proteins and antioxidants. It’s a good option for vegans or those who are lactose intolerant as it uses almond milk instead of regular milk.

 

Coconut Water Beauty Smoothie for hydrated skin

 

 

Ingredients:

 

1 glass almond milk
1 small banana
A handful of fresh strawberries
1 teaspoon chia seeds
Handful of fresh pomegranate

 

Method:

 

Blend all the ingredients together till you get a good consistency and garnish with dried goji berries.
To create unsweetened almond milk at home, soak a bowl of almonds for around eight hours and blend with drinking water three times the quantity of almonds used. Then strain.

4. Skin Cleanse Green Smoothie

For glowing skin

 

Avocado helps to reduce any skin inflammation with all its healthy fats and vitamin E. Other foods, like spinach, coconut water and pineapple make the smoothie rich in electrolytes, vitamins and minerals that keep the skin radiant and glowing. The trick is freezing at least one of the ingredients so the smoothie comes out cold.

Ingredients:

 

1 whole avocado
1 cup spinach
1 cup coconut water
½ cup pineapple

 

Method:

 

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until you reach a smooth consistency.

5. The Sunshine Smoothie

For great hair

 

This thick drink is rich in Vitamin A which is hugely beneficial for your hair. You can skip the sugar and make it a low calorie smoothie. Plus, if you are craving dessert, you can drink this instead as it makes for a healthy substitute.

 

The Sunshine Smoothie for great hair

 

Ingredients:

 

1 carrot, grated
1 apple, finely-chopped (or kiwi)
100 grams paneer, crumbled
200 grams, hung curd
2 teaspoons sugar (or honey)
¼ teaspoon orange rind
Saffron strands for flavour

 

Method:

 

1. Beat the hung curd with the saffron, paneer, sugar and orange rind.
2. Set it in a glass, layer by layer. Put the hung curd mixture first and then two tablespoons of the grated carrots, followed by remaining hung curd mixture and apples.
3. Chill in freezer and enjoy cold.
