Having a dry mouth can be a sign of dehydration. The best solution is to keep a bottle of water at arm’s length and reach out whenever you feel the urge. Remember that some meds can also cause a dry mouth. Water acts as a lubricant, which keeps the mucus membranes moist in the throat.
