Practice yoga or breathing exercises to keep stress at bay.

With the wedding season upon us, we are almost dying to look our stylish best in stunning outfits. Whether you are the potential bride or groom about to walk down the aisle, a close friend or relative, everybody wants to look their absolute best on the wedding day. Here are some sure shot diet and workout tips that will have you steal people’s hearts away on the big day. Remember to implement them before the wedding for maximum results.

  • Clean up your diet. First and foremost, no processed foods and no aerated drinks. Also, ditch bakery products altogether. Include lots of fresh seasonal fruits, lime and apple cider in salads (twice a day), lots of water, buttermilk and coconut water. This is the ultimate mantra to get you glowing before the big day.
  • Consume proteins. If a little excess baggage is your concern, make sure to slightly lower the grain intake and substitute with lean protein for all your major meals. Choose from egg whites, fish, chicken, dairy products from skim milk and beans.
  • Exercise is a must. If you want to look your very best in your stunning outfits as well as for that glow on your skin, make cardio and yoga part of your exercise regime.
  • Go for massages. The season is perfect to indulge in spa massages that will not only hydrate your skin, but also drain away toxins from the body to leave it taut, healthy and fresh. One to two weekly sessions of oil massage works best.
  • Lower sugar and salt intake. Along with white or processed flour, lower the intake of sugar and salt to prevent water retention, weight gain and baggy eyes.
  • Cut down on alchohol. Alcohol can not only make you look puffy and bloated, but tired and weary. Consume in moderation or stay away from it.
  • Sleep well: As far as possible get at least 8 hours of sleep every day and an afternoon snooze if possible. Rest is key to your body and face looking its best.
  • Meditate. Practice focused breathing or pranayam to keep stress at bay.

Steal the show this wedding season by being fitness smart. All the best! 🙂
