‘Bigg Boss’ Famed Shehnaaz Lost 12 Kgs In 6 Months; Here Are The Deets Of Her Weight Loss

Reality TV’s beloved star Shehnaaz Gill became somewhat of an overnight sensation after her stint on Bigg Boss in the show’s previous season. ‘Punjab ki Katrina Kaif’ received massive attention from the audience because of her charming personality and chemistry with the show’s contestant Asim Riaz.

Shehnaaz’s new avatar

While she’s been regularly in the news and on our social media feeds with her endless projects since the show ended, there’s a new spin to the old Shehnaaz that we knew that has the internet going gaga. The actress has undergone an amazing fitness transformation and lost a ton of weight and her brand new avatar is going to make your jaws drop in awe.

The epic fitness transformation

Shehnaaz took to Instagram to post pictures of her transformed and fitter self in a denim jumpsuit with one shoulder pulled down to reveal her toned arms and a sharp set of collar bones. We’re shook! Shehnaaz has been publicly ridiculed for her weight before but has never shied away from owning her body and confidently pulling off every look that she’s sported.

When asked about her fitness journey, Shehnaaz said to Times Of India, “Look, lockdown chal raha hai. A large amount of work has come to a standstill all around, so I thought why not just go for weight loss? Kuch logon ne mere weight ka mazak udaya tha ‘Bigg Boss 13’ mein. Kai log weight lose karte hain, maine socha chalo logon ko dikhati hoon ki main bhi patli ho sakti hoon.”

How she lost 12 kgs in 6 months

“It’s not difficult to lose weight if you really want to,” admitted Shehnaaz. Not only are we extremely motivated to start our own fitness regimes now but Shehnaaz’s positive use of this period of lockdown has inspired us to do the same with our time! The actress has lost 12 kgs in just six months and from 67 kgs in March, she’s now at 55 kgs. Amazing, right? She spilled the tea on how she successfully lost this amount of weight too.

Shehnaaz admitted to making major lifestyle changes during this period but the most significant has been her totally avoiding non-vegetarian food, chocolates, and ice cream as a part of her diet. She also reduced the portions of each of her meals and restricted her every day diet to only a few types of food without packing in too many varieties. “Every day, I ate just one or two things. I wouldn’t stuff too much variety in my daily consumption of food. For example, if I ate dal and moong for lunch, I would eat the same for dinner. And I reduced the portions. If I was hungry for two rotis, I ate only one.” 

Although we’re astonished by her transformation, we recommend consulting a dietician or a nutritionist before you undergo any such extreme diet and fitness regiments. Time to start our own little fitness journey, maybe?
