We understand: doing activities, in the same manner, every day can get boring. Do not worry; we have a few good listeners out there who are paying heed to your complaints and coming up with unique and exciting ways to spice up those activities and make them seem like a breath of fresh air. With the world celebrating International Yoga Day, we focus on the sport of yoga and present to you a list of the new (and bizarre) trends–think cat yoga, neon yoga, alien yoga, and a few others. Glance through our list and you’ll be surprised.
Cat Yoga
At a cat cafe in Mumbai, you can perform yoga asanas surrounded by 20-25 cats strolling around. This unique session is hosted by Priti Jhavar, a certified yoga practitioner.
Nude Yoga
Yoga is a sport that is said to connect the body and the soul and performing the activity naked just speeds up the entire process. While its origin goes back to the 60s, it got recognition on a large scale in 2000s.
Beer Yoga
Started in Germany, this yoga trend helps you enjoy two best things in the world: beer and exercise. Surfacing in January this year, the trend is busting the myth about beer and how it gives you a large belly.
Neon Yoga
Having shown up first in Europe, this yoga form features performing asanas in a room lit with neon lights only. Also, the participants here get their face and bodies painted with fluorescent paint.
Goat Yoga
One of the most popular trends on Instagram, this one involves performing yoga exercises with a goat. Started in 2016 in the US, here, goats are made to walk (and occasionally jump) on the backs of participants.
