Most women don’t take care of their breasts. We don’t even talk about it or its good health. Many women succumb to the various myths about breasts. But we would like to bust those myths. Breasts as a very important part of a woman’s body, which goes through several changes based on our hormones and stage of life. What we don’t know is that these changes are absolutely normal. Here are things you need to know about your breasts.
1. Your everyday workout could give you some pain. As your breasts are made of sensitive tissue, it may cause you pain after a strenuous work out.
2. The size of your boobs depends on your genetics and your weight. If you gain weight, the size of your breasts will eventually increase. So if you see changes in the size, you should check your weight.
3. Your nipples can leak even if you are not breastfeeding. When you squeeze your breast really hard, during a mammogram, it may leak some milk. However, if leaking continues, or if it has blood or leaks only from one breast, you should visit your doctor.
4. Usually your left breast will be slightly bigger than the right. And it is completely normal.
5. Your breasts may sag on day one of your menstruation. So do not worry when you notice this change.
6. Your breasts may be tender or lumpy at various times. You will feel this change when you are close to your monthly cycle date. It is completely normal.
7. You might have some strands growing on your breasts. This too is normal. You can pluck them or trim them with a pair of scissors.
8. During sex, when you are aroused during the foreplay your heart rate and blood pressure increase that eventually causes your breasts to swell and your veins to become more prominent. Your nipples become stiff and the areola which is the area around the nipple will expand. This is also normal!
