It’s most likely that you are going to be sloshed tomorrow. And if that happens, we won’t judge you. After all its New Year’s Eve right? But being hungover can totally ruin your next day and we don’t want you to spend the first day of 2016 feeling sluggish. So here are seven unusual (and effective) ways to cure a hangover.

1. A glassful of banana milkshake

Bananas make for a Vitamin B-rich drink that helps restore the depleted amounts in your body due to the indulgence. It replaces the electrolytes and potassium too and soothes the tummy. All you got to do is blend one banana with half a glass of milk and ice cubes.

2. A meal of eggs, the morning after

Eggs are rich in protein and a preferred go-to for breakfast. So when recovering from a party night whip some eggs and you’ll be able to restore a lot of your energy, leaving you stable.

3. Pre-drinking pear juice

Drinking (little under) a cup of pear juice before you head out for a night of drinks will help you counteract a hangover. It will also help you concentrate and keep headaches at bay.

4. Chew on asparagus

Chewing on asparagus before you booze or even after you sip your drink can help you be stable the next day. Asparagus helps to break down the alcohol in the body which can keep the hangover away the next day.

5. Breakfast of burnt toasts

Burnt toast has carbon in it which helps filter out impurities. Activated carbon is used to remove impurities from water and works well with our bodies too, in removing the toxins.

6. Chew some ginger

Ginger’s benefits are many and one of them is to strengthen immunity and balance the glucose in the body, which is essential when you are hung over. The day after a boozy night try a drink of ginger tea with some freshly squeezed lime and honey. This will really lift you up.

7. Sip on some Sprite or ginger ale

You might not know this but Sprite is sweet and caffeine-free. Sprite when consumed increases the rate at which the body metabolises the alcohol and speeds up the process shortening the length of the hangover. The same can be achieved with ginger ale which when consumed warm will soothe the tummy and replace the blood sugar that your tummy lost.
