Health and wellness is an important part of life right now, especially during these days of the pandemic. However, not all of us can start running or begin a regimen that is too tiring from the get-go. What we need are small-scale exercises that we can do everyday to keep healthy. 

Here are some tiny ways to sneak in some exercise and stay healthy in your daily life without overexerting. 

1. Take The Stairs

The simplest way to make sure you get just a little bit of exercise daily is by opting for the stairs and foregoing the elevator. It is fine to take it slowly and slowly increase the flights of stairs you’re climbing, but the journey starts with the decision to take the stairs that first time!

Working out becomes so much easier and more enjoyable when you have someone to share the experience with. It could be a friend, partner, sibling, or parent. Having a workout buddy also means that you don’t procrastinate as much and also helps your buddy keep their goals! 

3. Do The Cleaning 

A thorough cleaning session offers great cardio. All that stretching and bending while you do jhadu-pocha will get you moving and sweating. At the end of the workout, you will also have a clean house. It is a win-win situation.

A lot of us are chained to the desk, especially because of the work-from-home culture that has sprung up during the lockdown. Make sure that you take frequent breaks from the laptop and desk, and walk around the house. You can do light stretches and even go for a small amble around the neighborhood!

Jump rope is a fun way to add some activity into your daily schedule. It is a low impact sport which has health and weight-loss benefits. Even though jumping ropes are usually seen as children’s toys, getting a few hundred skips a day can greatly impact your health and wellness.
