We all sort of know that deep breaths are supposed to heal us, calm us down, or de-stress us, or something of the sort. We know that lambi lambi saanse benefit us in some way, but we think that to make use of it, we have to sit in sukhasana, and switch off from everything else to just breathe for a while. But, that’s not the case. In fact, we need deep breaths the most when we are in the thick of a stressful situation. Or, when we are irritated by something or someone, and boy, does life offer a lot of such moments! Most often, when we are annoyed by something, we act on an impulse and end up doing something that we regret later.
