We all have that one friend who’s always trying to lose weight. While secretly you’re already making a face about it, thinking, “not again, she’s going to be all picky and fussy while dining out”, the truth is unless you have a tyre or a muffin top sticking out of a t-shirt, you won’t understand. It wouldn’t kill you to be a little sensitive. So whether it is your friend, or just someone random, here are 15 things never to say to anyone trying to lose weight.

1. You won’t get fat, if you eat one bite.

 

 

 

2. You’re not fat, you’re just curvy.

 

 

 

3. Eat now, then go and burn it up at the gym. (Clearly they don’t know how many hours it takes on a treadmill to burn 350 calories from that red velvet cupcake.)

 

 

 

4. Nobody cares if you’re fat or thin, you’re beautiful as you are. (All that’s all right, but what about the fact that I can’t get into the jeans I bought two months back.)

 

 

 

5. But I cooked, how can you not eat?

 

 

 

6. Skipping Mexican food for a bowl of salad, clearly you’re missing out on life.

 

 

 

7. Will you be giving up alcohol too? What will you do for fun now?
