While your peers, family, and society made you believe that you’re the more desirable media-approved body type, you know you have your fair share of problems to. While losing weight may not be such a struggle, making it to the “normal” mark is often a losing battle
1. When you’re shopping for clothes, you don’t even need to give a measurement, you just have to ask for whatever’s the smallest. And sometimes that leads you straight to the kids’ section.
2. Trying bangles or bracelets rarely ends well. They float around your bony wrist like hula-hoops.
3. You’ve been called so many (sometimes borderline offensive) names – bones, kamzor, skeleton, matchstick, toothpick, and so on.
4. When it’s violently windy outside, you “flying off” in the wind is a recurring joke among your peers. And, you’re secretly afraid this could be possible.
5. That look of disbelief, hatred, and disgust when people see you hog your ass off.

6. Belts are your best friends, as they have supported you throughout your life.
7. Most of your belts, watch straps, and shoe straps need to be punched with that extra hole.
8. When you’re hitching a ride in a packed car, someone’s lap is always your reserved seat.
9. When you’ve reached your destination, that someone can’t stop complaining about how uncomfortably bony your butt is.
10. Every elder you know will give you personal cautionary tales about their diminishing metabolism, and sudden weight gain after their 20s.
11. But, at the end of the day, you know society would hate on you no matter what shape you are. So you just learn to love yourself, just the way you are, in all your thin, bony, skinny glory.
