Smack in the middle of the work week, just when spirits are beginning to dip, we figured we needed some cheering up. So Wednesday evening found us at Juhu’s newest pub, Quench, the second branch of the popular Bandra Reclamation haunt. From the looks of it, this place could be the next ‘it’ after-work hangout.

The staff are friendly, the menu is uncomplicated, the drinks aren’t too pricey and the music is great. What more could you ask for, right?

Well, here’s what our evening looked like…

We began with batter-fried Fish n’ Chips, which was as good as this classic dish could be. The fish was fresh and flaky with a yummy crisp covering–the perfect accompaniment with a mug of beer, but we opted for mojitos instead. One thing’s for sure, Quench does not scrimp on the alcohol.

Another thing we loved about the place is the retro playlist that transported us back to the good ol’ college days.

Moving on to the main course, we picked the Spaghetti Bolognese and Risotto di Pollo. Both dishes were decent, without much to complain about. But I do think that Quench could have taken a little more effort with the menu. It’s ordinary to say the least.

We ended our night on a sweet note with a creamy Chocolate Mousse with Cointreau.

Summing up our experience, we’d say, visit Quench, All Day Pub, Juhu when you need to wind down; it’s casual vibe and retro music certainly set the tone for a relaxed evening.
