Indian sweets are a luscious treat for all foodies. Rich, decadent and flavourful, these take quite some time to make. But if you are looking to make an Indian dessert in a jiffy, here’s something you’ve got to try. This urad dal laddoo recipe is a super simple fix for all your sweet needs. It’s also pretty healthy since it uses jaggery instead of sugar and moderate amounts of ghee that combine to give you a foodgasm. Here’s the recipe for you to try.
Ingredients:
1 cup urad dal
½ cup jaggery
3 to 4 pods green cardamom
½ cup ghee
Method:
1. Wash the urad dal properly and dry it well with the help of a clean cotton cloth.
2. When the dal is completely dry, heat heavy bottom pan and the dal to it.
3. Saute the dal well and roast it for four to five minutes on medium heat or till u get a nutty aroma. Let the roasted dal cool.
4. Once cool, add the dal in a mixer and grind it till it becomes smooth.
5. Now add jaggery and cardamom and grind it all together again.
6. In the thick bottom pan, heat the ghee and pour it on the ground, powdery mixture. Mix all well together.
7. Make ladoos from the mixture while it is still hot as it is easier to bind them together.
8. Your super easy laddoos are now ready to be eaten.
