An experimental dessert to try out this Diwali

For all working women, standing behind the stove for hours to make those decadent traditional Diwali sweets is a bit too much. Especially with all the shopping and cleaning that’s left to do. So while sweets are a must on festive occasions, give the rich, traditional and tedious fare a miss this time around and make some fancy yet easy delicacies like these Gulab Jamuns with Baked Yogurt served in shot glasses to add to the quirkiness. Here’s the recipe.

Ingredients:

100 gms curd
90 gms fresh cream
90 gms condensed milk
150 gms shrikhand (Can be bought from outside or made at home with this easy recipe)
10 angoori gulab jamun (Can be bought from any mithai shop)
10 gms pistachios, chopped

Method:

1. Whisk together the curd, cream and the condensed milk.

2. Pour this mix into shot glasses till they are half full and bake it in an oven topped with a gulab jamun at 180°C for 15 minutes.

3. Chill the curd mix, layer it with the shrikhand and top it with another gulab jamun.

4. Garnish it with chopped pistachio.
