There is not a soul that we have met who even remotely dislikes the delectable Italian creation, called pasta. Now that it is an established fact, that everyone likes pasta, we ought to know some basic sauces that need the simplest of preparations and yet can make any pasta dish seem oh-so-delicious! So, if you feel the same read on for some outstanding ideas.

 

First-Timer’s Pasta Sauce
Well, this one looks like just another tomato sauce, but it isn’t. It is in fact, a much tastier, and healthier form of the age old tomato sauce. All you need to do is throw in about 1 cup each of chopped zucchini and minced eggplant in some hot oil. Add diced tomatoes in this mix, along with some salt and pepper and sauté for about five minutes, and you’re ready to rock Sunday dinner!

 

The Spice-Me-Up Tomato Sauce
A flavoursome delight this one is. Start with heating some oil in a pan. Then add minced garlic, along with two teaspoons of thyme leaves and dried oregano. When the mix starts to sizzle, put in some salt and add two sliced roasted peppers. The jarred ones are ideal, but fresh ones would go just as well. Throw in some freshly cut parsley for added flavour.

 

 

The Charm of the Creams
This one’s for the one who’s off dieting, and never wants to return to it. A succulent sauce that will leave an imprint on you, forever! Melt some butter in a heated pan. Put in some heavy cream, along with grated Parmesan and Romano cheese. Stir constantly for a perfect blend. Also add salt and nutmeg to taste. Let the mixture melt. Now add some egg yolk and let it simmer for a few minutes. This creamy delight is ready to accentuate the taste of your pasta!

 

The Connoisseur’s Sauce
If you’re already a veteran, not by age, but based on your pasta cooking skills, then this tongue-tingling sauce is a must-try for you. You can start by heating up some brown stock made of beef. Thicken it with some mushroom sauce, and add a bit of brown roux. Throw in some spices and condiments of your choice for that perfect aroma. Try this sumptuous seasoned espagnole sauce with your choice of pasta, for an unforgettable taste.
