An amalgamation of low fat curds, aromatic parsley, garlic and flavourful spring onion greens makes a protein-rich spread that can be used as an alternative to butter. This spread is an easy option for all those who care to keep their cholesterol low and want their heart to be in top shape. You can also serve this as a dip along with chips, fries or nachos. It is light and tastes delicious when served with whole wheat bread. Try it out.
Ingredients:
1 tbsp parsley,finely-chopped
1 cup low fat curd
1 tbsp spring onion greens, finely-chopped
1 ½ tsp garlic, finely-chopped
salt to taste
Method:
1. Hang the curds in a muslin cloth for 15 to 20 minutes or till all the water from the curd gets drained out and the curd becomes thick.
2. Add all the remaining ingredients to this hung curd and mix well.
3. Refrigerate for at least one hour and use as required.
