Easy-to-make delish dahi chicken
Chicken is a staple in all non-vegetarian households. But, eating the same kind of chicken preparation can be very boring. Since variety is the spice of life, we suggest you experiment with your chicken recipes too and add some spice to your daily meals. Here’s the recipe of our latest non-vegetarian find, Dahi chicken. Try it out.
Ingredients:
600 gm chicken pieces
1 ½ cups of thick yogurt
3 tbsp of ginger garlic paste
2 tbsp of kasoori methi
2 tbsp of coriander leaves finely chopped
2-3 slit green chillies for garnish
4 tbsp of fresh cream
¼ tsp pepper powder
¼ tsp salt
Butter for garnishing
2 tbsp of vegetable oil
Method:
1.Heat oil in a kadai or deep frying pan.
2.Add ginger-garlic paste and let it cook to a golden brown colour. Stir well.
3.Once done, add the chicken pieces and stir well for 3-4 minutes
4.Add 1 ½ cups of thick yogurt into the pan and stir well.
5.Add salt, stir and cover the pan with a lid. Let the chicken cook for 20-25 minutes on slow flame. All the yogurt should get absorbed by the chicken.
6.Now add fresh cream and mix well.
7.Add kasoori methi, coriander leaves, black pepper, the slit green chillies and butter and stir well.
TIP: Add cream or water to make a gravy.
