Spicy and tasty chilli chicken recipe

Chilli chicken is what Indians order at Chinese restaurants. But if you could learn to make it at home, there is no need to spend big bucks on an Indo-Chinese dish. The weekend is around the corner and we are sure you might want to learn that one new thing. Let it be chilli chicken with this supremely easy recipe.

 

Ingredients:


1 onion chopped into 4 cubes
250g of chicken (boneless or on the bone)
6 split green chillies (de-seeded)
1 tbsp garlic finely chopped
1 tbsp juliennes of ginger
3-4 tbsp of vegetable oil
Salt according to taste
2 tbsp of soy sauce
1 tbsp of chilli sauce
1 tbsp of brown chinese chilli sauce
Garnish with red and green chillies

 

Method:


  1. Heat 3-4 tbsp of oil. Once the oil is well heated, add 1 tbsp of ginger and garlic, 31/2 tbsp of soya sauce, 1 tbsp of green chilli sauce, 1 tbsp of brown chinese chilli sauce.
  2. Swirl the ginger and garlic in the sauces.
  3. Add 7-8 deseeded split green chillies and one onion chopped into four cubes. Stir well together.
  4. Add the chicken, 1 tsp of salt, a bit of black pepper, 1/2 tbsp soya sauce.
  5. Keep stirring for the heat to get into the chicken.
  6. Add some capsicum, green chillies and some lighter green chillies on top. Toss them together
  7. Ready to serve
