Potatoes make the best snacks and nothing beats crunchy wedges served with ketchup. The best part is they are baked and you will require very little oil. This is the kind of snack that will ensure that there should be no guilt when it comes to guilty pleasures. Munch away!
Ingredients:
4 cups raw potato wedges, unpeeled
4 tbsp processed cheese, grated
For the herbed mixture:
2 tbsp melted butter
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic, finely chopped
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried rosemary
1/2 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
Salt to taste
Method:
- Combine the potatoes and the herbed mixture in a deep bowl and toss well till the herb mixture coats the potatoes completely.
- Place half herbed potatoes on a baking tray in a single layer and bake in a pre-heated oven at 200°c (400°f) for 20 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked, while turning once in between.
- Sprinkle 2 tbsp of cheese evenly on top and again bake at 200°c (400°f) for 1 more minute or till the cheese melts.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 to make 1 more batch of potato wedges.
- Serve immediately.
