Masala omelette for a good start to your mornings!
One would like to believe that the recipe of masala omelette doesn’t need to be taught because there are some things that one instinctively knows. However, you might find something new here that’ll sharpen that instinct. It might take you over to the other side of tastes and flavours. Afterall learning never stops, especially when one is guided by a love for food.
Ingredients:
2 eggs
1 small onion, chopped
1 small tomato, chopped
Some chopped green chillies
Salt to taste
Pepper
Some curry leaves
A portion of chopped ginger
20 ml oil
½ tsp red chilli powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
¼ chopped capsicum
¼ chopped bell peppers
Coriander for garnish
Method
- Add ½ tsp turmeric powder, half tsp red chilli powder, some salt and pepper to the eggs and whisk it together
- Take the pan on to the gas and add the oil
- Add the onions, tomatoes, 1 tbsp of chopped capsicum, 1 tbsp of bell peppers, some chopped ginger, some green chillies and curry leaves into the pan. Mix all the ingredients for about 2 minutes
- Now pour the beaten eggs into the pan. Mix the contents gently with a spatula, so that the eggs get cooked evenly from each side. Let it cook for about three to four mintues.
- Once the omelette is cooked, with the help of a spatula turn the omelette from one side to the centre and let it cook for two-three mins.
- Garnish with some coriander on top of the masala omelette which is now ready to serve!
