The best remedy to make a dull boring day bright and happy is to treat yourself to some droolworthy food. So when we were offered to feast on some delicious European and Asian food, we happily obliged.
It was a Friday afternoon and our office team was more than delighted to relish some never-before-tried food – Veg Ala Indiana, Coronation Lamb, Burnt Garlic Rice, Red Thai Curry, Korean Chilli Potatoes and Chicken Stroganoff.
Meal Box Café, a quaint little joint tucked away in the bylanes of Lower Parel, has now branched out and opened their second outlet in Bandra-Kurla Complex.
Tomato Basil Bruschetta
Their tag line ‘We like to get carried away with food’ is true to their spirit. And indeed that’s what they plan to serve at their new outlet, too. Since their new setup in BKC is only a kitchen, with no sit-down facilities, they can only do deliveries.
Their quick service, lip-smacking food and reasonable rates are good enough reasons for you to try them out.
The luscious Red Thai Curry was delectable, especially because of its pungent after effects. It is best had with the Burnt Garlic Rice. We also liked the coronation lamb preparation although we wished it was a little more succulent, which would make it even more appetizing.
Chicken Stroganoff made it to our favourites list. With a rich and creamy gravy, this one nailed our expectations! You can eat it with garlic bread or even just butter-tossed white rice and veggies.
Chicken Delux
If we had to pick the best of all that we tried, we’d easily vote for the Korean Chilli Potatoes, which were spiced to perfection. These sweet and spicy baby potatoes are the perfect comfort food, which can be eaten as an appetizer or for the main course, with fried rice.
Apart from these, you could also try their signatures dishes such as the Basa Lemon Caper, the Chicken Deluxe Burger and the Burnt Garlic Noodles.
So if you are in or around their new outlet and looking to order a hearty meal, Meal Box Café is surely worth a try.
