Master Chef, food writer and the beacon bearer of Gujarati cuisine, Tarla Dalal, made a peaceful passing early this morning.  She is the only Indian chef who was awarded the Padma Shree. Her recipes started as kitchen experiments to pamper her husband’s platter, but became a career that won her accolades across the world.
